Error: SMTP connect error 10060

What's Causing This Error

SMTP error 10060 indicates that the sending server did not receive a response from the recipient server within the allocated timeout interval.

It may be due to several issues, some of which can be:

  1. Invalid SMTP host or port.
  2. Invalid SMTP authentication.
  3. Network connectivity issues on the sending server.

Solution - Here's How To Resolve It

To resolve this error, the sender would need to make sure that there are no connectivity issues on the email server and that it can reach out to the recipient's email server via the required ports and services.

It is always an excellent approach to check connectivity manually using the operating system's native tools such as telnet, dig, etc.

In some instances, invalid SMTP configurations or authentication could cause this error; it is also worthwhile to check and validate these configurations to ensure that they are valid before attempting again.
